eNGUVU Automotive Co. Ltd is a fast-growing electric mobility company engaged in importation, financing, and distribution of electric motorcycles and tricycles in Tanzania. The company is expanding and seeks a competent Assistant Lawyer to support legal, compliance, and contractual operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Draft and review contracts (supply agreements, financing, employment, dealership)
• Support bank documentation (loan agreements, L/C, guarantees)
• Assist in merger and corporate restructuring documentation
• Ensure regulatory compliance with BRELA, TRA, TIC, and other authorities
• Manage company legal filings and statutory records
• Handle legal correspondence and dispute management
• Assist with import/export compliance and supplier agreements
• Support HR legal matters and employment contracts
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions
• Liaise with external lawyers and regulators
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university
• Must have completed Law School of Tanzania (LST) – preferred
• Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania is an added advantage
• Minimum 1–3 years legal experience (internship acceptable)
• Knowledge of corporate and commercial law
• Experience in contract drafting
• Familiarity with banking and financing documents is an added advantage
• Strong legal research skills
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
